Gables members have the opportunity to be the first to tour Nathaniel Hawthorne's Birthplace with Executive Director, Dakota Russell, and Collections Manager, Susan Baker, and learn of the plans to reimagine the house as The Hawthorne Museum.

 

The House of the Seven Gables is reimaging the visitor experience in Nathaniel Hawthorne's Birthplace, taking it from a static furnished house to a dynamic museum that tells Hawthorne's story. Our team at The Gables is working closely with scholars, museum design experts, and descendants to craft an experience that pulls in guests and makes Nathaniel Hawthorne and his work relevant to their lives.
